We received another year of record volumes of university bursary applications. Firstly, we would like to say thank you for putting the time and effort into submitting your applications.
90 new students were awarded university bursary grants for the start of the academic year 2025/6. Postal Family Fund is proud to now be supporting 224 students with their university qualifications or equivalent, which is more than ever before.
We love to keep in touch and hear from our students whose studies have been supported in the past by the Postal Family Fund.
“The bursary was a huge support during my veterinary medicine degree, particularly in helping with the travel and accommodation costs associated with placements. The financial support made a real difference and enabled me to make the most of these essential learning opportunities and I am now finally starting work as a vet after 5 long years of university.”- Molly, vet
“The university bursary has benefited me in numerous ways, especially as my course requires a lot of travel to and from placements and additional costly resources. The bursary contributed towards my transport fees and towards purchasing materials for my course”- Zaynab, foundation year doctor
“The bursary has had a major impact on my life. This bursary has reduced the financial challenges that come with university, allowing me to focus on my studies without having to take on further hours at work.”- Amy, trainee chartered accountant
We received many powerful applications this year, but sadly, we cannot fund them all. If you have not succeeded this time, we encourage you to reapply in 2026. Join our newsletter to get notified when forms open.
We would like to say a big thank you to the Post Office Remembrance Fellowship, Civil Service Insurance Society Charity Fund and all our members for making these university bursary grants possible. If you would like to help support young people from our postal family and give them opportunities they might not otherwise have, then please consider supporting us today.
